THE MATH BEHIND GEOMETRICS
Polar Graphing
The polar coordinate system can be imagined as a flat piece of paper.
If you draw a dot on that paper it is a specific distance from the center of the paper.
The dot you drew is also located at a specific angle around the center of the paper.
Polar Rose
If the distance from the center is defined as one of the trig functions Sin or Cos, a pattern appears that resembles petals of a flower.
Modifying the trig equation by changing the numerator and denominator of a number in the equation changes the appearance of the pattern
Mathematical "rose" or "rhodonea" curves, based on the polar-coordinates equation r=cos(θ*n/d).
Add some color. Add some randomness. Add Size changing. Add swiping and a mobile device and you have Geometrics.
